Regions and Capital
Mississippi is separated by the Hills, Delta, Pines, Capital/River, and Coastal regions. Each region has different cuisine, culture, and attractions from the other. The Hills Region of the state borders Tennessee and Arkansas and is rich in history. The Delta region is “the birthplace of blues” where they are known for their own traditional cuisine. The Pines region is full of beautiful landscape and national parks. Capital/River has delicious food, culture, and outdoor activities. There are over four hundred miles of cycling trails to explore! The Coastal region is located along the Gulf of Mexico where you can enjoy deep sea fishing, casinos, and golfing.
Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi is known as the City with Soul. Jackson has nightlife, shopping, and top restaurants to choose from. This city is great for a travel nurse who enjoys cultural events, orchestras, blues music, restaurants, and museums. Plus, several heritage sites and landmarks to visit.
Although the regions differ from one to another, they all have southern cuisine, blues music, and outdoor adventures. Working with Nightingale Nurses allows a healthcare professional to get placed in a highly desired facility.
